If only we all had someone on hand to critique our photos! My tip is to ask fellow crafters on forums, you need honesty as it's very difficult to be impartial as you know your product what it feels like and the quality, but to the viewer it's a 2d image on a screen, do your 5 product pics get across the most important features and give them a sense of how it can be used?
Also the pic above itself is an excellent example of visual marketing at it's best, gorgeous image with enough text to show you what the post is all about! I spotted it on Pinterest and had to click and share :)
